What time is the chat in your local time?

Read this if you use America Online (AOL)

The chat may not work in AOL. You need to use Internet Explorer or Firefox in order to chat. If you use dialup, first connect to AOL and then minimize it. Then open Internet Explorer and go to megcbot.com. If you have high speed internet, just go directly to Internet Explorer.

Where do I go to chat?

The chats start from this page! If you see a Join Chat button, that means that a chat is about to start. Click the button to join the chat. If its almost time to chat, press CTRL on your keyboard and REFRESH on your screen to get the button.

How do the chats work?

The chats are question and answer format, moderated by the Administrator. Try to think of some questions beforehand and then submit them after you sign in. Well formed, topic relevant questions will be picked and forwarded to Meg. Meg will pick a question and answer it. Meg does not answer all questions, so we apologize in advance if your question does not get a response.

At the end of each chat, there will be a few minutes of open chat.

Only 50 users are allowed into the chat. If you can't get into the chat room, or if you can't make it to the chat, email the administrator your question and she will forward it to Meg.

Do I need special software?

You must have Java installed in order to chat. Java is free and runs on any type of computer. Click here to download Java. You also need to be able to open popup windows.
