I had so many plans for this summer. I was going to: Attend speaking engagements. Visit friends and relatives. Write books.
Instead, what I got to do was: Have Heart Surgery.
I’ve had a leaky heart valve for more than a decade (your doctor can detect a leaky valve with their stethoscope during your yearly check-up), so I knew I was going to have to get surgery for it someday.I just didn’t expect someday to be THIS SUMMER!
The good news is: my heart is fine now thanks to the amazing medical staff at NYC’s Vivian and Seymour Milstein Family Heart Center at Columbia University! I’m LITERALLY so enchanted to be here!
The bad news is: I’m still recovering, and won’t be able to do in-person events for the launch of ENCHANTED TO BE HERE, my new Fall witch romance.
But that’s OK! Even though I won’t be able to see any of you in person, I’ve got some fun virtual events lined up for this September, and hopefully I’ll see some of you there!
In the meantime, here’s a little non-heart related news:

ENCHANTED TO MEET YOU comes out on September 5, 2023 – just in time for the spooky season!

MCU MOVIE NEWS:
Because of the Writer’s Guild of America strike – which I wholly support! All writers (not just screenwriters) need to be paid a living wage–I don’t have much movie news! But last I heard, good things were still brewing for both a Mediator series AND a Princess Diaries 3!
PERSONAL NEWS:
Not only did I survive heart surgery this summer, but I learned how AMAZINGLY SUPPORTIVE and KIND my friends, family, colleagues in the publishing business, readers, and especially HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED IN THIS BLOG are.
I’m feeling extremely lucky and grateful right now, and definitely ENCHANTED TO BE HERE! THANK YOU ALL!
