Thank you so much to everyone who helped make the launch of Enchanted to Meet You such a success!
You’ve all kept the staff at Books and Books in Key West busy with signed/personalized orders. I love that so many of you are supporting indies!
And I love that so many of you are supporting witchy romance! I love witches and witchy media all year round, not just during the Spooky Season–and I love that so many of you feel the same way. Witches are symbols of female empowerment, and I think we could all use a little empowerment right now!

It’s been a crazy summer with a new book 0ut AND heart surgery, but thanks to the support of all of you, my publisher, friends and family, and of course the amazing doctors and staff at NYC’s Columbia Milstein Heart Center, I feel a million percent better—so great, in fact, that….
…I’m going to be at the Miami Book Fair in November! I’ll post my appearance schedule as soon as I have it. I hope I’ll see some of you there!
In the meantime, I’m working on the next book in the Witches of West Harbor series…in between naps. Any kind of surgery does a number on you (because of the anesthesia), but heart surgery is supposed to make things especially messy for a while.
But I’m learning that’s okay! It’s okay to take a break if you have to. It’s important to protect your physical AND mental health…and if that means watching a billion reruns of Law and Order SVU (even if you don’t approve of copaganda), that’s okay, because it’s Olivia Benson, after all–the most empowered of empowered females!
And if that means re-reading all your old Harlequin Presents romances from the 80s that you’ve already read a thousand times, that’s okay, too (especially since you can’t remember how they turn out anyway).
And if that means spending hours poring over every single piece you can find on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, that’s MORE than okay! It’s Taylor, one of the most empowering businesswomen (and entertainers) in the music industry!
Sometimes we have to recharge mentally as well as physically, and even the smallest things can help us do that, like taking a break from the news and reading some fun fiction instead. Whatever is going on in your life, I hope you’re taking the time to look after your own physical and mental health!
And remember: “Sometimes we just need a little pretty”–Olivia Benson

More later.
Much love,
Meg
